GREENSPACE
UI/UX DESIGN
SENIOR THESIS 2019 / PARIS COLLEGE OF ART
Greenspace is a peer-to-peer clothing platform supporting slow fashion. It operates exclusively through bartering, intentionally excluding currency as a means of exchange. Developed as my 2019 senior thesis at the Paris College of Art, where I earned a BFA in Communication Design, this project marked my first venture into product design.
The concept was influenced by my written thesis, "How can today’s Filipino consumerism be investigated as an instrument of continuing colonial oppression?" This investigation into sustainable consumption focused on fast fashion as a vanity item driving immense waste. Alongside the app, I produced MARK, a youth magazine designed to raise awareness of global issues and pop culture. It is structured around four concepts: Power, Money, Think, and Act, serving as a tool to empower the next generation toward more conscious living.
